Marie Evatt

Margaret Marie Evatt, age 91, of Central went to meet her Lord on Wednesday, May 25.  Marie was a missionary in Sierra Leone, Africa for 25 years with the Wesleyan Church and worked as a teacher and principal there.   She later became general director of Wesleyan Women. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.  She is survived by her sister, Sallie Evatt, sister-in-law Martha Evatt, nieces Beth Traxler (Tom), Katherine Evatt (Pete), Susan Gray (Eddie) and nephews Harrison (Katy), David, and Robert (Susan) along with great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 on Saturday, May 28 at Trinity Wesleyan Church in Clemson.  The funeral will follow at 3:00. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Global Partners (missions agency of Wesleyan Church) or Trinity Wesleyan Church, 700 Issaqueena Trail, Central, SC  29630.
