Marie Louise Black Holcombe, 86, of 8356 Moorefield Memorial Highway, died Monday, May 28, 2007, at her home.

Born in Pickens County , a daughter of the late Paul Andrew and Elvie Lenora King Black, Mrs. Holcombe retired as co-owner of Holcombe's Meat and Grocery after forty years of service and attended Golden Grove Wesleyan Church.

Surviving are her husband of sixty years, Charlie M. Holcombe of the home; two daughters, Joyce H. Stokes of Easley, and Ann Griffin and her husband, Gerald, of Liberty; two sons, Joe Holcombe and his wife, Janice, and Sam Holcombe, all of Liberty; seven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Holcombe was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley with Rev. Dr. David Gallamore and Rev. Tony Casey officiating. Burial will follow in Golden Grove Wesleyan Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
