Marie Larsen Staedeli, 95, widow of her husband of 46 years, Felix Charles Staedeli, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving daughters and granddaughters.
She was born in the Bronx, NY, the daughter of the late Tonnes and Louise Jensen Larsen. She was a graduate of the Katharine Gibbs School of Business in New York. She retired following 36 years at Clemson University as an Administrative Assistant for the Vice President for Institutional Advancement. Prior to working at Clemson University, she taught in the Fort Hill Presbyterian Church Preschool Program. She was a member of Fort Hill Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are daughters, Janet Crenshaw of Clemson, Joan Miller of Mountain Rest and Elizabeth Weed of Columbia; grandchildren, Brent Crenshaw (Karen), Traci Crenshaw, Zach Miller and Kelli Covington (Trey); great grandchildren, Brodie Crenshaw, Clay Crenshaw, Gage Miller, Carson Covington and Katherine Covington. She is also survived by her close friend and care giver, Ella Merriweather.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son-in-law, Roger Crenshaw.
Due to the concern for Covid-19 virus and Governor Henry McMaster's recommendations the family has chosen to have a private graveside service to be held at Old Stone Church Cemetery.
