Marietta Saunders Hamet

Marietta Saunders Hamet, 81, wife of the late Charles Wesley Hamet, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2020.
Born in Boomer, WV, a daughter of the late George E. Saunders and the late Helen McCall Saunders, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed baking and spending time with her family. She was a member of Washington Avenue Church of God in Greenville.
Surviving are daughters, Debra Sue Ballash, Tammy Lynn Wells, and Cheryl Ann Hamet; stepdaughters, Brenda Howes and Judy Teague; stepsons, Edward Hamet and Jerry Hamet; sisters, Joanna Chidsey and Cecelia Saunders; fourteen grandchildren; and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a stepson, Travis B. Hamet; and brothers, George C. Saunders and Edward Saunders.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
