Marilyn M. Woodward

Marilyn M. Woodward, 91, formerly of Anderson, SC, died Friday in Agape Hospice house in Landrum, SC. Predeceased by her husband, Marion G. Woodward.

She was the daughter of the late Fred G. Moore and Alva King Moore. Survivors include sons, Stan L. Woodward of Greenwood, SC, and Dr. Steven M. Woodward of Gaffney, SC.

Grandchildren include April Bender, Summer Woodward and Hunter Woodward, all of Gaffney, SC, and Samantha Smith of Greenwood, SC. She is also survived by four great grandchildren. She has numerous nieces and nephews.

Marilyn retired from the Anderson County Public Library and was an avid reader and loved her fur babies.

The family would like to offer special thanks to Paige Adams, a private home health assistant who was always a kind and gentle helper the final year of Marilyn’s life. The family also thanks Agape Hospice.

A memorial service will be held Friday, February 20th, 2026, starting at 11:00 am, at Boulevard Baptist Church Chapel in Anderson, SC, where she was a long-term member. The memorial will conclude in the Boulevard Memorial Garden.
