Marion Boggs, Sr.Central

Marion Boggs, Sr. 85, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Richard Campbell Veterans Home.

Mr. Boggs was born in Anderson County and was a son of the late Choice and Janie Gillespie Boggs.  He served in the United States Air Force for thirty six years, and was a member of Golden Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Beverly Boggs; four sons, Marion Boggs Jr. and his wife, Kathleen, of Choudrant LA, John Boggs and his wife, Shelly, of Temple, GA, David Boggs and his wife, Kim, of Canton, GA, and Paul Boggs and his wife, Christy, of Lyman, SC; two daughters, Mary Ashcraft and her husband, Tony, of Austell, GA, and Rebecca Loggins and her husband, Kenny, of Central; four brothers, Vernon Boggs of Pelzer and Clinton, Franklin and Robert Boggs all of Central; one sister, Mary Dunn of Laurens, SC; twenty eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Hudson.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Golden Creek Baptist Church, Liberty, with burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Clemson, with military rites.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
