Marion F. Craig

Marion Franklin Craig, 63, of 408 Gassaway Street, the loving husband of Frances Chamberlain, passed away Sunday, January 13 at Oconee Medical Center.
Born in Anderson, Marion was the son of the late Joseph Franklin Craig and Ruby Welmaker Crenshaw of Pendleton. He enjoyed a long career in the food industry and is most recently known as the founder and owner of Miss Sassy's Southern BBQ Sauces and Rubs. He was a member of the Pendleton Masonic Lodge #34. He cherished his time with family and friends, loved football Saturdays at Clemson and a good game of golf.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Barry Alexander Craig of Allendale, SC, Melanie C. Turner of Brunson, SC and Tiffany C. Hipp (John) of Hampton, SC; sister, Mary Jo Craig; and brother, Tommy H. Craig (Louise) of Pendleton; was the proud Grandfather of Carlton R. Turner, III "Roddy", John Thomas Hipp III, Cooper Pope Chaplin, Whitney Lynn Craig, Lindsey Nichole Craig, Justin Alexander Craig and Bethany Ann Craig; and was a loving uncle of Sherry Lynn Craig and Charles Edward Craig.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his step-father, James Edward Crenshaw.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 PM, Wednesday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central, SC.
A Celebration of Marion's Life will be 2 PM, Thursday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
The family will be at their respective homes.
