Marjorie Dunn Dukes, 83, formerly of 760 Dukes Road in Meansville, Georgia, died Sunday August 24, 2008 at Palmetto Health Baptist in Easley.

Mrs. Dukes was born in Zebulon, Georgia, a daughter of the late Bonnie and Eunice Gibson Dunn. She retired after a 34 year career with Carter's Mill in Barnesville, Georgia and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Molina, Georgia.

Surviving are sons, James Benjamin "Benny" Dukes, Jr. and his wife, Leigh, of Wedowee, Alabama and Ted E. Dukes and his wife, Cheryl, of Tyrone, Georgia ; daughters, Patricia "Trish" Barrett and her husband, Ben F. Barrett, of Easley, SC and Debbie D. Davis and her husband, Jeff, of McDonough, Georgia ; a brother, Walter E. "Edsel" Dunn and his wife, Rose, of Meansville, Georgia ; a sister, Luette Dickens, of Zebulon, Georgia ; grandchildren, Jamey Dukes, Chris Dukes, Barry Dukes, Wendy Gothan, Tiffany Dukes, Tyler Dukes, Alisha Martin, Courtney Vaughan, Elizabeth Barrett, Teddi Davis and Taylor Davis and 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Benjamin Dukes, Sr.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Chapel of Moody Funeral Home in Zebulan, Georgia. Burial will follow in Fincher Cemetery, Meansville, Georgia.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
