Marjorie Durrett Silkwood, 90, of Easley, wife of the late Jack Silkwood, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in McCracken County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Harbert Lewis and Mary Martin Durrett. Mrs. Silkwood retired as a Quality Control Tech for University Micro Films in Ann Arbor, MI and was a member of Geer Memorial Baptist Church.
Surviving are one sister, Mary Whipple; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Silkwood was predeceased by eight brothers and three sisters.
A celebtation of her life will be at 2:00 PM Sunday at Geer Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
