Mrs. Marjorie Crowe Rogers Yates, 91, formerly of Greenville, wife of the late Frank L. Rogers and the late Rev. Bailey Yates, Jr., passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2010 in Hendersonville, NC.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Thomas Wade and Carrie Kay Crowe, Mrs. Yates retired from Alice Manufacturing Company and was a member of Northside Baptist Church, Pickens.
Surviving are one son, Tommy E. Rogers (Janis) of Easley; one daughter, Kay Burgess of Greenville; one brother, Homer Crowe of Easley; two sisters, Victoria Smith of Liberty and Ovaline Medlin of Easley; two grandchildren, Michael Messer and Angela Watson (Greg); two great-grandchildren, Justin and Ben Watson. In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Yates was predeceased by five brothers and five sisters.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday in Greenlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Danny Parton officiating.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Friday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, prior to the service.
