Easley
Mark Leslie Jennings, 61, of 308 Clay St., husband of Rita Nicholson Jennings, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born March 20, 1953 in Aiken, SC, but grew up in Easley, he was a son of the late Ray Leslie and Elma Sally Porter Jennings. Mark was employed with Duke Energy for over thirty eight years, and held several roles in the Maintenance and Work Management Department. He was in the Outage Scheduling Group for the past fifteen plus years. Mark was an avid Gamecock fan, and a longtime member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church where he was a member of the Senior Men's Sunday School Class.
In addition to his wife of thirty four years, he is survived by his children, Rev. Isaac Jennings and Caitlin Jennings; and brother, Ronald Jennings.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Donald "Duck" Jennings.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 16, 2014 at Brushy Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
Honorary Escorts will be the Senior Men's Sunday School Class.
