Mark Cooper Malmgren, 69, of Clemson, passed away at home on December 29th, 2017.
Born in Yellow Springs, Ohio on September 17th, 1948, he was the son of Conrad and Norma Jean Malmgren.
He is survived by his wife Patricia; his three children; Kerri Malmgren, Daniel Malmgren and his wife Zinfa, Kathleen Peterson and her husband Bryan; his brother John Malmgren, his sister Jeanne Malmgren; his cousins; Kathy Millar and Ellen Thum, and his two grandsons; Keegan and Chase.
Loyally meeting Clemson's travel needs for more than 40 years, Mark was the president and owner of Small World Travel of Clemson.
Devoted husband and father; Mark enjoyed planning trips to spend time with his family, wherever they may be. Most important to him was the summer home he owned on Lake George in upstate New York. This is also where he did many of his paintings, something he took great pleasure in later in his life. He also enjoyed gardening, barbecuing, wine tasting, taking in museums, and traveling throughout Europe. His generosity of spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of his life will be held at Sleepy Hollow Barn and Plantation on Saturday, January 6th from 2 to 4pm.
