Marla Thomas Rhoads, 41, of 606 Taylor Street and wife of Michael Norman Rhoads, died Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Oconee County, Marla was a daughter of Barbara Towe Thomas of Central and the late Eulice Covie "Jack" Thomas. She was a graduate of SWU where she also earned her Masters Degree. She was a Kindergarten teacher at Clemson Elementary and was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are two sons, Parker Gregory Rhoads and Caleb Michael Rhoads both of the home; a brother, Ronnie Jack (Patricia) Thomas of Central; sister, Rhonda Thomas (Robert) Leopard of Central; and an aunt, Hazel Thomas of Central.
In addition to her father, she was predeceased by a brother, Gregory Scott Thomas.
Funeral services will be 3 PM, Sunday at Trinity Wesleyan Church with Revs. Don Milstead and Jim Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Saturday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to The Building Fund of Trinity Wesleyan Church, 700 Isaqueena Trail, Central, SC 29630.
