Marlin Benard Sanford, 85, of Easley, went home to be with the Lord on February 23, 2021.
Born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, he was the son of the late Archie and Nanny Bell Rugsby Sanford. Ben retired from the ministry as a Church of God pastor and enjoyed woodworking.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Lillian Goodloe Sanford, his three daughters, Bessie J. Janes, of Easley; Barbara Jennings, of Gulf Shores, AL; and Sandra Humphries, of Sylvan Springs, AL; his two brothers, Quinton Sanford, of White Lake, MI; and Searcy Sanford, of Loxley, AL; his four sisters, Maureen Blakely, of Dublin, GA; Linda Jackson, of Loxley, AL; Elvie Sanford, of Daphne, AL; and Cherilynn Vant, of Daphne, AL; nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his two sons, Marlin B. Sanford, Jr., and David G. Sanford; and his brother, Cullen Sanford.
Funeral services will take place Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens. Scroll to the video player below to view the service.
The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 12:15pm - 12:45pm at the funeral home.
