Martha Faulkner Heath

Martha Faulkner Heath, 80 of Easley, South Carolina went to be with Jesus on July 16, 2023.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years Mr. Courtney E. (Buddy) Heath Jr. and her children Mrs. Heather Heath Adams (Bryan) of Summerville, SC, and the Rev. Courtney E. Heath, III of Easley, SC. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. William Rogers Faulkner and Mrs. Francine Prickett Faulkner, as well as her best friend and sister Mrs. Patricia Faulkner Collins.

Mrs. Heath attended Welcome #2 School (later named Crestone), and graduated from Carolina High School (1960) and Draughon’s Business College in Greenville, SC. She retired from Tanner Companies Inc. in Rutherfordton, NC where she served for 25 years in many positions from buyer to Executive Assistant to the President.

Martha’s passions were gardening and serving her friends and community by volunteering in various capacities at her church, Rock Springs Baptist Church. Her abiding faith and the prayers of many allowed her to continue living a beautiful and love-filled life following her diagnosis of ALS in 2013.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 24, from 10:30 am until 11:45 am at Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley, SC. A Celebration of Life service will follow in the chapel at 12:00 pm. Dr. David Gallamore (Rock Springs Baptist Church), Dr. Eddie Allen (Tremont Church of God), and Major Bruce Cleasby (USAF Ret.) will officiate the celebration. A musical worship service will be held 10 minutes before the celebration featuring Wren Hospice Chaplain W. Bryan Bellotte, and Mr. Carson Edwards of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
