Martha Joyce King

Martha Joyce  King, 88, wife of the late John King, of Easley, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023.

Born in Pickens County, she was the a daughter of the late Lewis Clyde and Annie Mae Sigler Hatchell.

Mrs. King retired from Blue Ridge Nursing Center and loved shopping and working on puzzles.

Mrs. King is survived by sons, David Batson of Easley, Danny Batson of Spartanburg, Larry Batson of Taylors, and Steven Batson (Tasha) of Easley; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, James Batson and Aaron James; two brothers; two sisters; and her previous husband, William Toy Batson.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2023 at Faith Temple Church Cemetery in Taylors, SC.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday,  November 24, 2023 at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley.
