Martha Alexander McAbee, 76, of Six Mile, passed away on November 5, 2015, surrounded by her family.
Martha was born in 1939 to Claude Oscar Alexander and Bessie Leora Bell Alexander. Known as Nan to her family, she loved to laugh and tell stories, cook and bake, and go to the beach. She loved taking care of her family. Martha was a lifetime member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was a strong woman of faith.
She is survived by her spouse, Ernest "Dude" McAbee, her son, Eddie McAbee and his wife Colleen Campbell McAbee; her daughter, Mandy McAbee Clapp and her husband Marty Clapp; her granddaughter, Keavy McAbee and her husband Lee Marchbanks; her two grandsons, Alex McAbee and Sam Murrow, and her great grandson, Judah Marchbanks. She is also survived by her sister, Sue Cox and her brother, David "Bud" Alexander and predeceased by 5 sisters and 2 brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central, with burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (Recreation Equipment), 100 Pleasant Hill Church Road, Central, SC 29630.
