Martha Jean Hooper Williams, 72, wife of Jimmy Ed Williams, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca.
Born in Greenville County, to the late Algie and Audrey Knecht Hooper, Mrs. Williams was a member of Oak Dale Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who loved to spend time with her family and the members of her Sunday School Class. Her favorite past time, aside from being with family and friends, was watching old westerns.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of fifty-five years, are two sons, Tony Williams, of Fountain Inn, and Keith Williams, of Fairplay; a sister, Kay Jennings, of Greenville; two grandchildren, Jennie Elise Williams and Amanda Lee Fowler; and a great-grandchild, Kiera Aspen Fowler.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was predeceased by a brother, Donald Hooper, Jr.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 11, 2014 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until 12:45 P.M. Saturday, prior to the service at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family is at the home.
