Mary Ann Gardner Williams

Mary Ann Gardner Williams, 68, of Central, wife of the late John C. Williams, Jr., passed away November 26, 2023.

Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Eliza Cunningham Gardner. Mary graduated from McDuffie High School and received an accounting degree from Tri-County Technical College. She worked as an accountant, in housekeeping and eventually retiring from Westpoint Stevens as a weaver. Mrs. Williams was an avid Clemson fan, believer in the gospel, and enjoyed trying new foods. She was a faithful member of Freedom Center Church. Her family will remember her for having a heart for helping others.

She is survived by her children, Patrick Williams of Pendleton, Wacheta Hammond and husband Henry of Kansas City, MO, and Christian Williams of Spartanburg; brothers, Robert Gardner of Brooklyn, NY, Thomas Williams and wife Allie of Anderson, and Charles Williams and wife Sandra of Anderson.

Mary was predeceased by her husband, parents, son, Jared Dante Williams, aunt, Annie Lee Williams, and sister, Amy Davis.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Central.
