Mrs. Mary Ellen Walden Bass, loving wife to Ralph Edward Bass, Sr. of seventy five wonderful years, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2017, surrounded by family at her home.

Born in Charlotte, NC, a daughter to the late Eustis Walden and Ethel Broome Walden Branch, Mrs. Bass was retired from Continental Can Company in Chicago, IL and was a cherished member of Northside United Methodist Church in Greenville.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Ralph Edward Bass, Jr. and his wife, Carol of Fountain Inn; five grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Mildred Novak.

She enjoyed shopping, shoes, jewelry, and any kind of "bling". She was smart, witty, and was never afraid to try anything new or take any task on herself.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 16, 2017, at The Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road.

Entombment will follow at Robinson Memorial Gardens Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Monday, October 16, 2017, at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to The Salvation Army or an animal rescue charity of one's choosing.
