Mary Beth Turpin Smith, a longtime resident of Central, South Carolina died Monday, March 23 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville. She was 67.
Ms. Smith was born June 24, 1952 in Ridgeland, South Carolina to Harold Turpin and Leoda Jordan Turpin. A graduate of Clemson University Ms. Smith worked in the field of education for her entire career. She retired as Guidance Counselor from Daniel High School in Central.
Mary Beth enjoyed good books, spending time with her family and watching her daughter play soccer.
She is survived by a daughter, Alexandria Elizabeth Smith of Central and two brothers, Barry Turpin and Rossi Turpin both of Ridgeland.
