Mary Ann Bingenheimer

April 3, 1924 — December 22, 2017

Mary A. Bingenheimer died on December 22, 2017, at the age of 93 in Seneca, South Carolina.

She was born on April 3, 1924 in Pocahontas, Illinois, to Theodore and Frances Schoeck Thalmann. She was a graduate of Illinois State University. She moved to Keowee Key with her late husband, L. Edwin Bingenheimer, in 1987.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Bingenheimer of Yellow Springs, Ohio, Kenneth (Judy) Bingenheimer of Denver, Colorado, and Richard (Robyn) Beauheim of Grand Junction, Colorado five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one sister. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her eldest son, Thomas Bingenheimer (Stokes) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, one grandson, two brothers, and one sister.

A memorial service will be held at a date to be announced in January 2018, at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Rd., Central, SC.

A graveside service will be held at Keystone Cemetery in St. Jacob, IL, at 1:00 p.m. on December 26, 2017.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oconee County Habitat for Humanity, 130 Bountyland Rd., Seneca, SC 29672; Cottingham Hospice House, 390 Keowee School Road, Seneca, SC 29672; or to the National Brain Tumor Society, 55 Chapel St, Newton, MA 02458.
