Mary Assenith Jane Cook Boggs, affectionately known as "Mama Jane" or "Jane", passed away on August 12, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Born on December 26, 1936, in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Ben Raymond and Mildred Merck Cook.
Jane dedicated her career to serving the Anderson County School district #4 as a cafeteria assistant. Outside of her professional life, Jane found joy in various hobbies such as reading, sewing, and enjoying time in her garden caring for her flowers. But, above all else, Jane cherished the time she spent with her family. She was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Norris for her entire life, where she served in the church nursery, went on many mission trips, and was involved in WMU.
Jane is survived by her loving husband, Robert Calvin "R.C." Boggs Sr.; her sons, Robert Calvin Boggs Jr. (Janet) of Charleston, Brian Benjamin Boggs (Lisa) of Central, and daughter Karen Jane Kimble (Steve) of Central. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Taylor Edwards (Tyler), Ryan and Anna Boggs, Clayton (Makenzie) Kimble, Matthew (Morgan) Kimble, and Ethan Kimble; her great-grandchildren, Paisleigh, Beau, Addie-James, and Ellen Jane; and her sister, Sue Whitten (Gene) of Greenville.
In addition to her parents, Ben Raymond and Mildred Merck Cook, Jane was preceded in death by her brothers, William and Raymond Cook, and her great-grandson, Fletcher Martin Kimble.
A visitation for Jane will be held Wednesday August 14, 2024 at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00PM.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 15, 2024 at First Baptist Church Norris at 2:00PM.
