Mary Florence Delooze, nee' Stetzel, 85, of Easley, SC and formerly Lyons, NY passed away peacefully on May 21, 2015 after a brief illness.
Mary was born in Geneva, NY on October 31, 1929 to the late Florence and Howard Stetzel of Geneva. She graduated in 1947 from the Phelps School. She loved to travel, garden, and visit her family across the United States.
Mary was predeceased in 1997 by her husband of 49 years, Edmund E. DeLooze; her sisters, Dorothy Gaylord (Donald) and Jean Lee (Mike), and is survived by her brother James Stetzel of Phelps, NY. She leaves to her cherished memory her eight loving children: Dawn Blair (Gerald) of Geneva, Howard DeLooze (Christine) of Henrietta, Holley Pridmore (Charles) of Hot Springs, AR, Laurie Gordon (Timothy) of Easley, SC, Edmund DeLooze (RoseMarie) of Bear, DE, Sandra Baker (Billy) of Cottonwood, AZ, Timothy DeLooze of Walterboro, SC, and Jennifer Pagano (Scott) of Honolulu, HI; 20 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Mary is survived by her companion of 10 years, Domingo Leon of Lyons, NY.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. As Mary loved animals, the family request that in lieu of flowers you make a donation in Mary's name to your local no-kill humane shelter.
