Mary Stoffan Koiesar Dixon, 94, died Saturday, January 24, 2009, at National Health Care of Greenville.
Born in Glen Lyon, PA, Mrs. Dixon was a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Hanzo Stoffan. She was retired from the Shirt Manufacturing Industry, member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of St. Matthias Lutheran Church in Easley and The First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Philipsburg, PA.
Surviving are one daughter, Karen Reichow (Melvin) of Easley; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Kolesar of York, PA; and granddaughter Stacey Reichow; two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Patrick Lawler. She was predeceased by her first husband, George Kolesar; her second husband, Frank Dixon; a son, Robert Kolesar; and sisters, Anna Pina, Elizabeth Larson, and Helen Zubris and granddaughter Kim Lawler.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2009, at Dahlgren Funeral Home in Philipsburg, PA. Burial will follow in Philipsburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home in Philsburg, PA, prior to the service.
Memorial services will be 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at Saint Matthias Lutheran Church, Easley, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Matthias Lutheran Church, 501 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642 or to First Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 377, Philipsburg, PA 16866.
The family wishes to express their humble appreciation to NHC Healthcare of Greenville, to the nurses and CNA's of Unit 3, and to Caris Hospice for the love and care they gave to Mrs. Dixon.
