Mary Ellenburg

Mary Inez Garren Ellenburg, 89, of 231 Mountain Crest Drive, wife of the late John Franklin "Dock" Ellenburg, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at Easley Living Center.
Born in Pickens County, the daughter of the late Sedrick H. and Effie Brown Garren, Mrs. Ellenburg retired from Alice Manufacturing Company and was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Lawrence William "Bill" Ingram and wife, Kay, of Easley; a brother, W.T. "Dub" Garren of Easley; two Grandchildren, John F. "Frankie" Ingram and Louise Inez "Lulu" Winchester; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Ellenburg was predeceased by a son, J. Bobby Ingram, and three brothers, Ossie, Ed, and J.B. "Bunk" Garren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Jones Avenue Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and will be placed in the church at 1:00 p.m. Thursday.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Hallmark Hospice for the care they provided to Mrs. Ellenburg.
