Mary K. Keegan, 77, of Easley, SC, passed away on September 6, 2024, at the age of 77. Born on September 18, 1946, in Brooklyn, NY, Mary embraced life and left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Mary's career in human resources was a true reflection of her compassionate spirit. She enjoyed working with people, always eager to help them navigate their careers and achieve their goals. Her ability to connect with those around her was remarkable, and she found great joy in fostering their professional journeys.
Mary's interests were as colorful as her heart; she reveled in the arts, enjoying everything from movies to TV shows and plays. A regular presence at concerts, her love for music reflected her eclectic tastes, ranging from the soothing melodies of Carole King and James Taylor to the heartfelt storytelling of country tunes. Mary traveled far and wide, her journeys taking her to the romantic lanes of Italy, the historic landscapes of France, the lush greenery of Ireland, and many destinations all across the United States. She enjoyed these travels with her family and friends, making this travel so much sweeter.
Her siblings survive Mary, Martin Vincent Keegan, and Elizabeth Ivie, as well as a nephew, James Michael Ivie, and a niece, Elizabeth Anne Ivie. She also leaves behind cousins Mary Buercke, Joe Tevington, and Margaret Mary, as well as good friends Carol Butcher and Bob Kennedy and her beloved dog, Tully.
Her husband, Dr. Donald D’Amico, predeceases Mary, as well as her parents, Edward F Keegan and Margaret Keegan, her brothers, Edward James Keegan and John Phillip Keegan, her sister Anne Keegan, and her brother-in-law James Ivie.
The family will hold a memorial service for Mary on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the chapel at Robinson Funeral Home on Powdersville Road in Easley, SC.
