Mary Lee Raines Finley, 88, widow of Billy Welton Finley passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022 at the NHC, Anderson, SC.

Mary Lee was born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Norman and Lela Couch Raines. She was a life long resident of the Flat Rock Community where she was a life long member of Flat Rock Baptist Church. She was a teacher for the 6 year old Sunday School Class and played the piano for church services for over 60 years. She loved the Clemson Tigers and along with her husband was a long time member of IPTAY and enjoyed going to home and away football games for many years. She was a retired employee with LaFrance Industries. For the past nine years Mary Lee lived at Brookdale Central Assisted Living. Her family is very thankful for the care she received and the many friendships she made.

Surviving is her son, Billy Dean Finley and his wife Elizabeth of Central; grandchildren, Samantha Finley Hansen and her husband, Brian and their son, Hap of Simpsonville, SC, and Mandy Finley of Mauldin, SC; step grandchildren, Elizabeth Coleman of Simpsonville, SC and Evans Coleman and her son Cooper Koinskie of Pendleton, SC.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mary Lee was predeceased by a half-sister, Christine Cassell.

Funeral services will be 11 AM, Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Flat Rock Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:50 AM, Wednesday prior to the service at the church.

The family is at the home of her son, Dean at 616 Brock Street, Central, SC.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Pickens County Humane Society or a charity of one's choice.
