Mary Leroy

Mary Elizabeth Capps Leroy, 89, of 107 Pine Knob Road, died Friday, May 11, 2007 at her home.
Born in Seneca, she was a daughter of the late Foster and Ester McCracken Capps. She worked as a spinner for Southern Weaving for over 50 years and was a member of Ryder Mountain Church of God. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved a good laugh and was a great cook.
Surviving are three daughters, Martha Holcombe, Jeanette Rhodes and husband James, all of Easley, Pauline Munn of Anderson; a brother. Rudolph Capps and wife Floella of Seneca; a sister, Gertrude Smith of Seneca; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Joseph Lewis Leroy; a son, Roscoe Leroy; three sons-in-law, Johnny Munn, Jack Freeman, Tony Holcombe; two brothers, Ben Capps, Leonard Capps; and three sisters, Clara Lee, Lois O'Kelly, and Easter Leroy.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown with Reverends Colas Capps and Ted Capps officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 7:00 until 9:00 PM Saturday night at the funeral home.
