Mary Lee Looper, 82 of Easley, SC the beloved wife of J.B. Looper went to be with

Jesus on July 21, 2023. Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late

Clint (Jack) Walker Foster and Berdell Presnell Foster. She was a member of Cross

Roads Baptist Church, a member of the Emory Jones Sunday School Class, and a

graduate of Dacusville High School.

Mary worked for Alice Manufacturing and retired from NCR Liberty. She was a

homemaker throughout her life and loved the outdoors, fishing, gardening, and

exploring nature. She loved baking and cooking, and her family and friends

benefited from this wonderful gift that God gave her. Nannie’s Fudge recipe

was a favorite of all who sampled her cooking. She worked hard in everything she

tried to accomplish and taught her family well in how to persevere.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Surviving

is her husband of over 63 years, J.B. Looper; children, Jimmy Looper (Cheryl) and

Cheri Capell (Bob) of Easley, SC; grandchildren, Jameson Looper (Erin), Mary

Katherine Capell, Ben Capell (Natalie), Caroline Capell, and Emily Whitt (Jacob).

Mary has two great-grandsons, Weston Looper, and Isaiah Capell.

Mary leaves behind sisters Jackie Looper, Margie Williams, Gail Morris (Tommy)

and Sandy Benoit, and a brother Dennis Foster (Helen).

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday July 26, 2023, at the

chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, Downtown Easley. The family will receive

friends prior to the service from 2:00 until 2:45 at the funeral home. Burial will

take place at Cross Roads Baptist Church following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Mary Looper to Wren

Hospice, a children’s home of your choice,  to Cross Roads Baptist Church, or to The

Alzheimers Association at alz.org.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Spring Park Memory

Care and Wren Hospice for their love and care.
