"Pinky" Macaulay

Mary Frances "Pinky" Beavers Macaulay, 85, and widow of her husband of fifty-eight years, Hugh H. Macaulay, Jr., died on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at the Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca.
She was the daughter of the late Earl Wilson Beavers and Annie Mae Stallings Beavers of Cuba, Alabama. "Pinky" was a graduate of the University of Alabama, with a B.S. in Industrial Management of Foods. She did an internship in therapeutic dietetics at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, LA and was a former member of the American Dietetics Association. She was a member of Clemson Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are a son, Dr. Hugh H. Macaulay, III of Denver, CO; and daughters, Mary Anne Thompson of Lawrenceville, GA and Frances Beavers Newton of Richmond, VA; nine grandchildren; and a brother, Earl W. Beavers, Jr. of Birmingham, AL. In additon to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Dr. Fred W. Beavers.
A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday at Clemson Presbyterian Church. A private service of interment will be held at the Woodlands Cemetery on the campus of Clemson University.
