Mrs. Mary Alice Forbess Marcy, 78, wife of Rev. Charles Thomas Marcy, Sr., went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, July 8, 2017.
Born in Tipton County, TN, a daughter of the late Elger Alonzo and Lola Bell Walker Forbess, Mrs. Marcy was the retired owner and operator of Marcy's Country Store. She was of the Assembly of God faith having faithfully lead and served in Assembly of God churches through out South Carolina for many years.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of fifty-nine years, are a son, Charles Thomas Marcy, Jr. (Sonya) of Tipton County, TN; two daughters, Stephanie Yvonne Ballman (Troy) of Piedmont, and Deborah Lee Frasier (David) of Six Mile; a sister, Joyce Faye Belk of Chicago, IL; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marcy was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Porter Forbess and a sister, Evelyn Pearl Costanoda.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
