Mary J. Matlack

Mary “Jeanne” Matlack, 85, of Easley, South Carolina, beloved wife of Michael “Mike” Matlack, passed away on Memorial day , May 25, 2026.

Born on August 28, 1940, in Atlanta, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Julia Ansaldo.

Jeanne lived a life marked by devotion to her family and a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures found in nature and companionship. She was a loving wife and grandmother. Jeanne was a dedicated professional in the insurance industry. Beyond her professional achievements, she found joy and fulfillment in her personal life, particularly through her love of boating and fishing alongside her husband in the scenic waters of Florida and the Bahamas. These serene moments brought her great happiness, as did the time she spent with her husband and their beloved dogs.

Jeanne is survived by her husband, Michael “Mike” Matlack; her step daughters, Nicole and Kathryn; her grandchildren, Maddie, Jack, Naia, and Kiele; her sister-in-law, Pam Kahle; and their two lab dogs, Cash and Chase.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her sons, Don and Sean; and her favorite dog Turbo.
