Mary Patrice Ryan McAlister was taken by the hand of her Jesus and died very peacefully on January 18, 2017.

Mary Pat was born on November 6, 1959 in Evergreen Park, Illinois. Mary is survived by her devoted husband, Ernest McAlister; her loving sons, Paul McAlister (Candace), and Wesley Anderson (Sherrie and Camryn); and her granddaughter, Ansley Patrice McAlister, the apple of her eye. Mary is also survived by her mother, Lucille Ryan; her seven brothers and sisters, Judy Trumbull, Kathy Ryan, Terry Galassi, Sheila Horne, Chris Lackscheide, Ed Ryan, and Ray Ryan; her nieces and nephews, Ken, Kyle, Keith, Karstyn, Hadley, Aylah, Ansley, Kamryn, and Keagan Lackscheide; Rebecca, Kim, Tom, and Vince Galassi; Natalie and Charlotte Horne; Heather, Ryan, Jonathan, and Bella Trumbull; and Joe, Alex, Molly, C.J., and Zak Ryan. Mary is also survived by her extended family at Manna Health and Rehab, with whom she lived for the last 18 months of her life.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Joseph Ryan.

Mary was a devoted wife and a loving mother. She enjoyed plants and gardening, quilting, and doing puzzles. Most of all, Mary loved to laugh! Mary had a strong will and a kind heart. She loved family and was a good friend to many.

Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, January 21st, from 1-2:15 pm at Trinity Wesleyan Church, 700 Issaqueena Trail, Central SC.

Funeral services will be held immediately thereafter at 2:30 pm at Trinity Wesleyan Church, with burial to follow in Memory Gardens.
