Mary Lilly Gilliland McDonald, 85, wife of Gordon Richardson McDonald, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015 at her home.

Born in Cowpens, SC, she was the daughter of the late Noah Rabb and the late Josie Bryant Gilliland.

Mrs. McDonald was a Nurses Aid having worked for Greenville General Hospital and Countryside Village. She loved her family, gardening and crafts.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Lutheran Hospice for the exceptional care provided to Mrs. McDonald.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Richard McDonald, Jr. (Ruby) and Mike McDonald (Lavonda) both of Easley, Steve McDonald (Carla) of Greenville, Judy McDonald of Easley, Peggy Anders (Joe Bill) of Central, Cyndi Crane (Tim) of Greenville and Lucy Grant (Carey) of Powdersville; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Hill of Florida and Molly Morton of Greenville; a brother, George Gilliland of Greer; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. McDonald was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday August 5, 2015 at 3:00 pm in M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.

Flowers accepted, or memorials may be made to Lutheran Hospice, N. Main Street, Suite 3 Greenville, SC 29601.

The family will be at the home.
