MARY LOUISE RUTLEDGE MC INTOSH

Mary Louise Rutledge McIntosh, 82, long time resident of Marshall, Texas, died Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at the Hospice House of the Upstate in Anderson, SC.
Born May 29, 1927, in Franklin County Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Roy Everett Johnston and Jennie Gertrude Johnston Smith. Mary was the devoted wife of the late Paul J. Rutledge to whom she was married 54 years and the late Roy McIntosh to whom she married in 2005.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. McIntosh will be held at the Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home, 100 East Travis Street, Marshall, Texas. Visitation will be held 6-8pm Wednesday, September 9th with a chapel service following on Thursday, September 10th at 1pm in the afternoon. Burial service will follow at Algoma Cemetery and Memorial Gardens in Marshall. Pastor Will Sherman of Woodlawn Baptist Church will officiate. Pallbearers will be Don, Jason, Matthew, Michael, Phil Rutledge, and Braeden Walker.
Mrs. McIntosh was a beloved mother, grandmother, homemaker and member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.

Surviving her are daughters, Paula Rutledge Walker, Rebecca Rutledge Cornelius; a son, Don Rutledge; grandchildren Phil, Kelly, Michael, Jason, Cynthia, Braeden, Don, Maralee, Travis, Matthew, and William; great grandchildren Leah, Loren, Lindsey, Eric, Mindy, Rebekah, Andrew, Madeline, Claire, James Royce, Scotty, Raegan and Wesley; great-great grandchildren Shayna and Nate.
In addition to Mrs. McIntosh's parents and husbands, she was predeceased by sisters Frieda Launis, Velma Davis, and Bertha Evans; brothers Jess, Everett and Bill Johnston and son JR Rutledge.
On behalf of Mrs. McIntosh's family a special thanks to Woodlawn Baptist Church friends and other family members assisting in her relocation to South Carolina, all the correspondence, love, phone calls and prayers over the years and throughout her recent illness. Also, a gracious thanks to South Carolina Hospice of the Upstate and South Carolina Guardian Elder Care throughout her recent illness.
