Mary Alice Miller

Mary Alice Simmons Miller, 84, formerly of Kingsbury Drive, died Friday, December 7, 2007.
Born in Fayetteville, NC, a daughter of the late Camond Bruce and Nettie Virginia Norris Simmons, Mrs. Miller was a graduate of Massey Hill High School in Fayetteville, NC, and retired as a nurse with Blue Ridge Living Center in Easley. She was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church.
During World War II, she served as a switchboard operator at Fort Bragg, NC.
Mrs. Miller married her late husband, Richard Gregory Miller on August 23, 1947, who passed away on September 15, 2001.
Surviving are two daughters, Cindy M. Adams, owner of "I Need Someone To...", and husband, Bill, of Greenwood, and Mary Ann Boyleston and husband, Moby, of Ashburn, VA; a sister, Annie Laurie Marbert, of Fayetteville, NC; grandchildren, Melissa O'Keefe, Greg Boyleston and Melody Boyleston; a great-granddaughter, Amelia O'Keefe; and many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Miller was predeceased by a brother, William Belvin Simmons.
Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road with Rev. Paul Turner and Rev. Jerry Bryan officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum of Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
Visitation will be from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2007, at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Reston, VA, followed by a reception at the church.
