Mary Howard Murray

Mrs. Mary Howard Murray, 78, of 146 East View Circle, wife of the late Elbert Murray, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012 at Regency Hospital.
Born July 3, 1933 in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late George Howard and Estelle Duncan. Mrs. Murray retired from Kemet Electronics and was of the Baptist faith. After retiring from Kemet, she started a second career working with battered women. She had many interests but her primary hobbies were gardening, handcrafts, quilting and crocheting. Above all, she was devoted to her family and took great joy in her great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Murray is survived by her sons, Robert Langley, James Murray and Buster Murray; daughters, Deborah Cantrell, Melinda Nissan and Vicky Harris; sixteen grandchildren; and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Cathy Suttles and her brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 28, 2012 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
