Mary Lang Gill Olson

Mary Lang Gill Olson of Clemson, widow of Edward S. Olson, died on April 24. She was a native of Salisbury, NC, daughter of the Late Edwin Bruner and Fanny Simerson Gill, members of pioneer North Carolina and Virginia families. She was predeceased by two sisters, Ellen and Julia, and by her Mamie, Mary Lang Tippett, of Accomac, Va and Atlanta. Born in 1918 she was a member of the Boyden High School class of 1936. She earned a BA degree from Agnes Scott College in 1940 and a MS degree from Clemson College in 1958. For 18 years she was a member of the faculty at Daniel High School.
