Mrs. Mary Frances Taylor Powell died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on March 18, 2017 in Easley, SC at the age of 82.

Mary Frances was born on June 8, 1934 in Greenville, SC to her parents, Rufus and Lucille Taylor. Both Melvin and Mary Frances worked at the Mayfair Mill, from which she retired in 1997.

Mary Frances dedicated her time caring for her family, including her five grandchildren (Brett, Shawn, Sydney, Savanna, and Garrett) and one great-grandchild (Caleb), all of whom are the lights of her life.

Mrs. Powell is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Sonia Powell of Easley, SC; her son, Timothy Powell of Easley, SC; her son and son-in-law, Scott and Rob Powell-Cluxton of Charleston, SC; and her sisters Inez Stewart and Judy Donley.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; her parents, Rufus and Lucille Taylor; her sister, Patsy Taylor; and her son, Gary Powell.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM Tuesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
