Mary Russell Eleazer McMillan, of Shepherd's Care Assisted Living, Greenville SC, passed away peacefully May 9.
Born in Sumter, SC on December 12th, 1929, she was the daughter of the late James Malcolm and Cora Westbrook Eleazer.
Mary Russell was predeceased by her husband Michael McMillan and her fourth son, Collin Eleazer McMillan, who died in infancy.
Surviving are her three sons, Mike McMillan (Candace) of Greer SC, Kevin McMillan of Los Angeles CA and Sean McMillan (Tracy) of Taylors SC, her brother Dr. Thomas H. Eleazer (Ruth) of Columbia SC and her four grandchildren; Tayler L. McMillan, lan H. McMillan, Malcolm A. McMillan and Cameron M. McMillan.
Besides her passion for reading, she was an animal lover and an avid wildlife enthusiast, having visited Africa ten times on wildlife expeditions and photo safaris.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Cemetery Hill in Clemson SC at a date to be determined, where she'll be laid to rest with her husband of over 60 years, Mike.
A gathering of friends and family will immediately follow the graveside service at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, 305 W. Main Street, Easley, SC 29640.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Greenville Literacy Association, 225 S. Pleasantburg Rd, Suite C10, Greenville SC 29607 or the Greenville Humane Society, 305 Airport Rd., Greenville SC 29607.
