Mrs. Mary Gene Schoenbeck, 70, of 145 Spirit Mountain Lane, Easley, loving wife of Dana Gaillard, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca.

Mary Gene was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 15, 1946 to the late Edward and Angelina Anatra Martino. She worked as an administrative assistant and was of the Catholic Faith. She loved dancing and music.

Mary Gene loved her family and was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved being a homemaker, and was an excellent cook.  She had a generous and giving spirit that was upheld with a desire to help anyone in need.   

In addition to her loving husband of 11 years, Mrs. Schoenbeck is survived by a daughter, Laura Rogers (Todd) of Peoria, Arizona; a step-son; Tyler Gaillard of Greenville, SC; a brother; Eugene Martino (Barbara) of Chicago, Illinois; two grandchildren; Mikayla and Cade Rogers; and a step-granddaughter, Anna Gaillard.

The family will host a memorial service in Arizona at a later date.
