Mary Thomas

Mary Will Wood Thomas, "Mrs. T." passed away on February 29, 2016 at Pruitt Health-Pickens in Six Mile, SC.

She was born in Macon, GA on June 29, 1927.  Mary Will was the daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. J. A. Wood.  She retired from Southern Wesleyan University in 1993 and was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church in Central, SC.

Mary Will is survived by her loving husband of sixty six years, Edgar B. Thomas; three daughters, Paula and husband Frank Crook of Seneca, SC, Pamela and husband Stephen Glover of Charleston, SC, and Jodie and husband, Russell Heusinger of Liberty, SC; one son, John E. Thomas of Lexington, SC; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; her brother, Dr. Paul B. Wood and his wife Christine, of Central, SC.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Olivia Perry and Ruth Harmon, two brothers, Dixon and John A. Wood and a grandson, Isaac Thomas Garrett.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Trinity Wesleyan Church with entombment to follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until 11:45 AM prior to the service at the church.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Pruitt Health-Pickens in Six Mile for the care and compassion shown to our wife and mother during her time there.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wood Scholarship at Southern Wesleyan University, Trinity Wesleyan Church, 700 Issaquenna Trail, Central, SC or with much gratitude to Pruitt-Hospice of Anderson, 1510 Fant Street, Anderson, SC  29625.
