Mary Alice Alexander Young, 85, of 113 Hill Drive, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.

Born in Six Mile, she was a daughter of the late C.O. and Leora Bell Alexander, a homemaker, a member of the D.A.R. and Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, John William Young, Jr. of the home; one son, Patrick L. Young and wife, Charlotte of Chatsworth, GA; two daughters, Jacqueline Patrick and husband, Robert of Snellville, GA and Patricia Lynn Bass and husband, Sam of Clarkesville, GA; one brother, David Alexander of Six Mile; three sisters, Sue Cox of Central, Ellen Stokes of Nashville, TN and Martha McAbee of Six Mile; three grandchildren, Patrick Chad Young, Robert Lee Patrick and Janice Lynn Watson; and three great-grandchildren Alyssia Watson, Patrick Sean Watson and Riley Alexander Patrick.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by two brothers, Charlie Alexander and Claude Alexander; and three sisters, Nina Alexander, Mae Watson and Grace Gibson.

Funeral services will be 1 PM, Friday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Revs. James Brooks and Bob Dickard officiating.

Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Thursday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central-Clemson Commons.

The family is at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Childrens Playground Fund of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 3041 Six Mile Highway, Central, SC 29630.
