Maryanna Burton Koziar
October 23, 1955 — September 19, 2018
Maryanna Burton Koziar, 62, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018 at Anmed Hospital after a long illness surrounded by her family. She was born at the Naval Hospital at Corona, California, the daughter of an Air Force officer. She would later travel the world with her own family in Air Force to Europe and the Far East as well as locations in the US.
Maryanna and her family moved to Anderson, SC in 2007 after retiring from the Air Force. She is a graduate of Florida State University in Fashion Merchandising in 1978. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta where she made many life-long friends.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Robert L. Koziar, USAF retired, and her daughter, Mary Katherine Koziar, Anderson, SC. She is also survived by her mother, Marydel M. Burton, Winter Park, FL and sisters, Martha Lyons (Robert), Evans, GA and Linnell Burton, Winter Park, FL and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father, Charles R. Burton, Col. USAF retired.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Clemson, SC on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 1 PM.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in Maertin Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Andrew Catholic Church, P. O. Box 112, Clemson, SC 29633.
