MaryBeth J. Giovanni

MaryBeth Jean Meuse Giovanni, born on April 16, 1961, left this world on August 27, 2025, after a courageous battle with early onset Alzheimer's. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Christopher Giovanni, whom she has been married to for 36 years, but has shared love and life for a total of almost 43 years. Born in Groton, Massachusetts to the late Henry J. Meuse and the late Virginia Eaton Meuse, she was a remarkable woman whose contributions to her field and the lives of those around her will forever resonate in the hearts of many.

As a dedicated research and development scientist at St. Jude Medical, MaryBeth played a significant role in the advancement of cardiovascular medical devices, helping to save countless lives. Her work was not just a job; it was a calling that gave her immense appreciation for life and the gift of health. Through her efforts, she touched the lives of many families, providing them the hope and support that only someone like MaryBeth could offer.

Beyond her professional achievements, MaryBeth exhibited a zest for life that inspired those fortunate enough to know her. She spent her days creating lasting memories with her beloved friends and family. MaryBeth had a deep love for cooking and entertaining, often delighting her loved ones with delicious meals that brought joy and laughter to their gatherings. She was a passionate collector of antiques and pottery from her travels, each piece telling a story and reflecting her keen eye for beauty and history.

MaryBeth shared a profound bond with her husband, and together they embarked on extensive travels that enriched their lives and strengthened their connection. One of her fondest memories was their last trip together—a serene riverboat cruise that encapsulated the beauty of adventure and love. She enjoyed the peacefulness of any body of water, but also enjoyed the majestic mountains hiking through the great outdoors.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Stephen J. Meuse.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sisters, Kathleen Dargie (James). Maureen Lussier (Gerald), and Christine Phaneuf (Paul); brothers, Robert Meuse (Lorraine), and Kevin Meuse (Susan) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her warmth and kindness extended beyond her family, as she was a very active member of 5 Point Church. There, she and her husband served in the Storehouse Food Ministry, sharing their love and compassion with those in need. It was their true honor to see the smiling faces of the people in their community they helped. MaryBeth also cherished her friendships, particularly with her childhood friend, Lynn Thomas and her wonderful coworkers known affectionately as the "Groovy Girls," which included Nancy Ewing, Regina Moore, and Jan Lockridge. Together, they celebrated life’s moments, proving that laughter and camaraderie are the best treasures of all.

MaryBeth leaves behind a legacy of courage, love, and outstanding accomplishments that will forever inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. As we gather to honor her memory, we are reminded of the beautiful impact she made in the world.
