Maton Brooks, 93, of Liberty, husband of the late Arietta Hendricks Brooks, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Anderson AnMed Health Center.
Born in Pickens County, Mr. Brooks was a son of the late George and Maggie Morgan Brooks. Mr. Brooks retired from textiles and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are three sons, Tony, Troy and Wayne Brooks, all of Liberty; two daughters, Evelyn Patterson and Winnon Miller, both of Liberty; a sister, Nell Abercrombie; two brothers, Ray and Bo Brooks; 32 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Brooks was predeceased by two grandchildren, Mitchell and Crystal Brooks.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, April 6 at Rice�??s Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
