Matthew "Matt" Clifton Haines, 42, of 177 Wickersham Way, died Saturday March 24, 2007 from injuries received in a motorcycle accident.

Born in Canton, Ohio, he was a son of Herbert and Peggy Buchanan of Piedmont. Mr. Haines was a warehouse manager at Palmetto Custom Films in Piedmont and was a U.S. Navy veteran of Desert Storm having served in the Persian Gulf. He was a member of Marathon Community Church.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Sherry Metz Haines, of the home ; a son, Christopher Crouchman, of the home ; five daughters, Nicole Coggins and her husband Christopher, of Liberty, Rochelle Crouchman, Anna Haines, Mattie Haines and Jamie Crouchman, all of Easley ; three sons, Michael Haines, of Greenville, Dr. Dale Buchanan, of Charlotte, NC and Geary Parsons, of Colorado ; three sisters, Pam Young, of Piedmont, Cheryl Gaines, of Easley and Sharon Parsons, of Georgia ; two grandchildren, Catherine Coggins and Alexa Dawkins.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at Marathon Community Church with the Reverend Roy McCall officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.

The family is at the home and will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road.
