Matthew Christopher Robinson, 16, an honor student at D.W. Daniel High School, died Tuesday, May 19, 2015.
Born in Greenville, he was the son of Mary Medlin Robinson Gibson and her husband, who raised Matthew, Steve Gibson of Central. His father, Glenn Robinson currently resides in Greenville.
Matthew was a member of the Daniel High School Marching Band, Carolina Youth Symphony, Clemson University Symphony and Boy Scout Troop # 172 of Liberty. He was a member of Alive Wesleyan Church where he loved to volunteer to help park cars for the church services. He recently began working at McDonalds in Clemson.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a sister, Katherine Rebecca Robinson of the home; and maternal grandparents, Diedrich and Aileen Medlin of Central; and uncle, David Robinson of Liberty.
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Saturday at Alive Wesleyan Church in Central with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Central, SC.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Friday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in honor of Matthew C. Robinson to any First Citizens Bank to help defray the funeral expenses.
