Mattie Reece Raines, 69, of Easley, wife of Kenneth Raines, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Pickens County, Mrs. Raines was a daughter of the late Earnest and Zelpha Anna Stancil Reece. Mrs. Raines was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Raines is survived by a son, Tim Raines; a special daughter, Lutrell Morton; three sisters, Lucille Elrod and Doris Mauldin both of Easley, Hazell Evatt of Pickens; three brothers, E. R. Reece and Riley Reece both of Liberty, Earl Reece of Pickens; five grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Raines was predeceased by three sisters, Arvie Morton, Mildred Gillispie, and Ruby Nell Gillispie; and one brother, Earnest (Bud) Reece.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Friday, April 12, 2013 at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
